SDCEats! supports students impacted by food insecurity. In partnership with SDCE’s Foundation, Feeding San Diego, San Diego Food Bank, and the San Diego Rescue Mission through Partners for Hunger Relief, SDCEats! operates as a choice pantry, SDCEats! The Marketplace, providing fresh food and dry goods. Shoppers receive ten (10) weekly points for use in The Marketplace at ECC.
SDCEats! monthly Farm to Family Fair (F2FF) at ECC provides a FREE farmer’s style market with fresh produce to students, staff, and surrounding communities. This free, public event offers a Health and Resource Fair delivering no cost resources and services promoting healthy communities. F2FF is the first Wednesday of every month (dark January) at ECC 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with the farmer’s market from 11 am to 3:00 pm (or until food is gone).
Because SDCE cares about students’ health and safety, currently all SDCEats! services are suspended. Staff are available to help and refer students to food distribution sites near campuses or San Diego neighborhoods. For questions, please email aalvarez@sdccd.edu or call (619) 800-4181.
