CE Miramar Impact: Miramar Early Education Center

Dear SDCCE Community,

The Program Management Organization Region 2 Team (Kitchell), in partnership with San Diego Miramar College is set to begin phase 1 of construction for the Miramar Early Education Center Project this November. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, 11/30/2026 and continue until Friday, 5/28/2027.

Phase 1 – This phase of the project includes the construction of a new fire lane in-between the CE Miramar Campus and the nearby G-4 Parking Structure areas.

To help with construction efforts, a temporary construction fence will cover the project area and cause a change to the path of travel for pedestrians and vehicles traveling to the CE Miramar Campus.

Attached below is a map of the affected areas and new travel paths for phase 1.

Green - Vehicular Path of travel
Blue (Line) - Construction path of travel

Yellow (Box) - Construction Trailers

While routes will change, everyone will still have access to the CE Miramar Campus during construction. Additionally, Signage will be posted to help guide everyone safely around construction areas.

At this time, the project team is continuing to develop construction logistics and phasing plans. As more details become available about impacts, route changes, construction activities and schedule milestones, information will be shared with the campus community.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as San Diego Miramar College begins this important project and works diligently to minimize disruption to CE Miramar operations.
