Commencement
This year, we are proud to announce a brand-new location for Commencement: The Town and Country Resort Ballroom in Fashion Valley! This location offers a beautifully-appointed indoor space, with parking and transit options available to get you and your guests to the event!
Parking at the Town and Country is available on-site; the College is reserving 500 parking spaces for students and their guests, free-of-charge. Additionally, public transportation is available via the Fashion Valley MTS station, with regular trolley and bus service just steps away from the Town and Country! We recommend using transit when possible.
Student check-in begins at 3PM on the day of Commencement; you and your guests are encouraged to arrive no later than 3:30PM to ensure time for parking and getting settled. There will be lots of great entertainment before the Ceremony for you and your guests to enjoy, as well as a special welcome at the entrance to the event. Additionally, the Town and Country is offering graduates and their guests special food and beverage options throughout the Resort - stop by before or after the program to indulge yourself!
You are welcome to invite anyone and everyone you like to this event - there are no tickets required and admission is always free. Please note: children must be accompanied by a responsible adult 18 or older throughout Commencement, and are not permitted to be seated in the graduate seating area.
We recognize that your guests are there to celebrate you! We ask, if your guests are bringing balloons, that they please remain in the back of the ballroom, or along the outer edge of the guest seating area, to allow everyone an unobstructed view of the stage and program. We also ask that there be no noisemakers or confetti cannons, please, to help us be good stewards of the space.
The Commencement Ceremony usually takes around 2 hours - we respectfully ask you to remain for the entire Ceremony until its conclusion.
