Pride, Inclusion, and Community Take Center Stage at San Diego College of Continuing Education

2025 Pride Celebration at SDCCE’s Educational Cultural Complex

June 8, 2026

In celebration of Pride Month, San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE) invites students, employees, families, and community members to attend its annual Pride Month Celebration on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on the front lawn of the Educational Cultural Complex (4343 Ocean View Blvd).

Sponsored by the SDCCE Foundation and the Cultural Events Planning Committee, the free event celebrates diversity, inclusion, and the college’s ongoing commitment to creating welcoming spaces where everyone belongs. Guests can enjoy live entertainment, community connection, inspirational speakers, and lunch provided by Sisters Pizza.

This year’s keynote presentation will feature KishaLynn Elliott, Executive Director of San Diego Pride. With her appointment, Elliott became the first Black lesbian to serve as permanent Executive Director in the organization’s more than 50-year history advocating for LGBTQIA+ equality, visibility, and justice.

Attendees will also enjoy energizing performances by Lady Blanca, an eclectic nonbinary Latine drag performer, producer, and host known for producing the Latine drag pageant “Pasión Y Corazón,” and Cee Cee Russell, an internationally recognized entertainer with more than 30 years of performance experience, celebrated for celebrity tribute performances honoring Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Dionne Warwick, and Donna Summer.

Beyond its annual Pride celebration, SDCCE provides year-round support for LGBTQIA+ students through the Pride Center and Be Well CCE Mental Health and Wellness Center. Services include confidential counseling, free health screenings, wellness resources, and affirming support with an LGBTQIA+ Student Success Coordinator and trained counselors committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces for all students.
