Whether you are a recent high school graduate, looking to launch a new career, improve your English, earn your diploma or equivalency, or take the next step toward college, San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE) offers hundreds of free programs designed to help you achieve your goals. Summer classes are underway, and enrollment is still open for adults 18 and older.
Students can choose from a wide range of free career and college pathways, including Automotive Technology, Business and Accounting, Digital Media and Programming, Healthcare, Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Information Technology, and Skilled and Technical Trades. Additional offerings include High School Diploma and Equivalency preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), Citizenship classes, and Emeritus courses designed to promote healthy aging, lifelong learning, and independence for older adults.
Classes are available online, in person, and in hybrid formats at seven campuses throughout San Diego, including locations in Mountain View, Barrio Logan, Point Loma, Kearny Mesa, Fairmount, Mesa College, and Miramar College. Most certificate programs can be completed in as little as four to eight months, preparing graduates to enter the workforce quickly or continue their educational journey at City, Mesa, or Miramar colleges.
Beyond free academics, SDCCE offers comprehensive student support through SDCCE Cares, connecting students with resources for food assistance, housing support, transportation, and mental health counseling. The college serves more than 30,000 students annually, including many immigrants, refugees, and English language learners.
Students also have opportunities to build community and connect with peers through programs and affinity groups including the Black Student Success Program (BSSP), Immigrant Student Success Program, LGBTQIA+ Student Success Program, Foster Youth Support (ElevateU), Rising Scholars, and Veteran Services.
