The High School Equivalency (HSE) Testing Center provides testing services for both GED® and HiSET® exams to help you reach your educational and career goals. Testing is open to SDCCE students and the public. Our centers offer a supportive, professional environment designed to help you demonstrate your knowledge and earn your high school equivalency credential. Visit our HSE Testing Centers at the Educational Cultural Complex (ECC) or the West City Campus (WCC) to learn more about scheduling your exam. San Diego College of Continuing Education offers the GED® and HiSET® exam at two locations, the Educational Cultural Complex (ECC) and West City Campus (WCC) for SDCCE students and the public.
Proof of identity and California residency must be verified at the time of registration and before admittance to the test. In California, the minimum age to test is 18 years old. Some 17-year-olds may be eligible to test under specific circumstances. SDCCE does not determine eligibility requirements. Both the GED® and HiSET® exams are offered in English and Spanish.
SDCCE offers free High School Equivalency preparation classes, practice exams, and free test vouchers (dependent on funding) for qualifying enrolled SDCCE students. In addition, the Tutoring & Learning Center offers tutoring at select campuses to help you prepare for your exam and have a quiet place to study. Learn more about
Yes, you can request accommodations through your preferred test service, GED® or HiSET®. All requests and approvals are handled by the testing services’ accommodations team.

All exams must be scheduled through GED® or HiSET®.
