Assemblymember Dr. LaShae Sharp-Collins, in partnership with the San Diego College of Continuing Education and the San Diego County Office of Education, will host the 79th Assembly District Apprenticeship Fair on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mid-City Campus, located at 3792 Fairmount Avenue, San Diego, CA 92105.

The event is free and open to the public, and all students, educators, workforce professionals, and community organizations are invited to attend. RSVPs are encouraged, register here.

“This Apprenticeship Fair is about opening doors, not just to jobs, but to new opportunities. Whether you’re just starting a career or seeking a change, our local businesses, training programs and trades are ready to work with you. When we invest in apprenticeships, we invest in our community’s future and the strength of our local economy,” said Assemblymember Sharp-Collins.

The Apprenticeship Fair will feature a variety of local employers, trade unions, and training programs offering information about career pathways that combine education and paid on-the-job training. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with apprenticeship coordinators, discover how to earn while they learn, and explore careers in high-demand industries such as construction, healthcare, energy, and advanced manufacturing.

Incoming students and educators will also discover more than 70 tuition-free, high-quality career training programs and thousands of no-cost classes offered by San Diego College of Continuing Education, spanning fields from automotive technology and culinary arts to cybersecurity, welding, and more.
