SDCCE scholarship application deadline is Wednesday, January 31, 2024, 6:30pm.

Completing the Online Application May Make You Eligible for One or More Scholarships

Students must meet the following minimum application requirements to be eligible for a scholarship.

  • Currently-enrolled student for the 2023-24 academic year at SDCCE
  • Attend 100 hours or more of SDCCE classes between Spring 2023, Summer 2023 and Fall 2024
  • Demonstrate satisfactory attendance and progress in courses
  • Complete the online scholarship application, including responses to the following questions:
    1. Why are you attending San Diego College of Continuing Education, and what do you hope to accomplish here?
    2. What challenges/obstacles have you overcome to complete your educational goals? You can consider such things as a disability, being a single parent, being a returning or first-time student, being a veteran, being in recovery, or any other life experiences.
    3. What do you plan to do after you complete your current educational/career goals?
    4. Describe your participation in community service or leadership activities, at school or in your community (This question is designated as optional on the application, but is used for determining recipients for several scholarship/award opportunities).

Some scholarships have additional qualifications for eligibility, based on identifying information you include in your application, including demographic data and courses taken.

Scholarship Application Support Program

Thanks to a partnership with the SDCCE Foundation, students may attend an Application Support Workshop if they would like assistance in writing responses to the short answer segments of the application, or guidance in completing the entire form. One-on-one tutoring and bilingual English/Español support will be available at all sessions.

Scholarship and Awards Celebration

Students who are selected to receive a scholarship or award will be honored at the annual Scholarship and Award Celebration.
