Today, September 19, 2019, California's 79th State Assembly District will welcome local high school seniors and adult students during their annual Apprenticeship and Vocational Training Career Expo. The free public event is taking place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at San Diego Continuing Education (SDCE) located at 4343 Ocean View Blvd. San Diego, CA 92113.

Hiring organizations will be tabling the Expo including apprenticeship programs, vocational training, and youth employment services agencies.

California's 79th Assembly District is represented by Democratic political leader Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D. Dr. Weber will welcome attendees to the campus alongside SDCE President, Carlos O. Turner Cortez, Ph.D.

SDCE is the largest provider of noncredit education in California and offers the state's only Construction Trades Apprenticeship Readiness Internship for young adults.
