San Diego College of Continuing Education Welcomes Community for ‘Family Day’ Celebration December 13

Members of the community meet with the San Diego College of Continuing Education team to learn more about courses offerings and resources.The Associated Students of the San Diego College of Continuing Education (ASCCE), in partnership with the college’s Student Affairs and Outreach program, proudly invite current and prospective students as well as their families, to Family Day on Saturday, December 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The free event will take place on the Educational Cultural Complex (4343 Ocean View Blvd, SD, CA 92113) Front Lawn.

Family Day will feature a picnic in the park, games and activities for all ages, and a resource fair showcasing the more than 70 tuition-free career training programs and classes at the College of Continuing Education, as well as the myriad of wrap-around services such as mental health, basic needs, scholarship opportunities, community partners, and more. 

This year’s Family Day is supported by ASCCE leadership, including President Yahir Melendez, whose efforts helped expand community outreach and participation. He says, “Through this gathering, we aim to foster unity, joy, and a sense of belonging in an environment of respect and collaboration. We welcome everyone to connect, share, and celebrate together as one big Continuing Education family!”

The College of Continuing Education prepares students for high-demand fields including Digital Media, Healthcare, Automotive, Skilled Trades, and more. With the spring semester beginning January 22, Family Day provides a welcoming space for current and prospective students to connect with  college representatives and support services. Enrollment is open now for spring classes.
