San Diego, CA -- On Thursday January 11, San Diego Continuing Education (SDCE) will host a public open house for the Barrio Logan community. The event is scheduled from 3:30pm to 6:30pm at SDCE’s César E. Chávez Campus, 1901 Main Street.

The school will welcome prospective students and their families to experience SDCE’s 60+ free high quality career training programs including Automotive, Family Home Daycare, Business and Culinary through interactive exhibit booths.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the state of the art facility, computer labs, and nursing labs every 20 minutes, complete an online application with assistance, sign-up for orientations, and make counseling appointments.

“We are proud to welcome the community,” stated Carlos O. Turner Cortez, Ph.D., President of SDCE. “Completing a free career training program is one of the fastest paths for individuals with barriers to change the trajectory of their lives and the lives of their family.” SDCE students are often able to immediately qualify for entry-level jobs following the successful completion of an SDCE program.
