Top Chef at Continuing Education

Chef Lee Blackmore

Professionalism and passion. Those are the words heard most often when students, staff and local culinary professionals describe Continuing Education (CE) instructor Chef Lee Blackmore.

Chef Blackmore has been an integral part of the CE’s Hospitality and Consumer Sciences for more than seven years. He was recently honored as Culinary Educator of the by San Diego’s Chapter of Chefs de Cuisine, which is the local chapter of the American Culinary Federation. The award is given annually to a local chef for distinguished service as a culinary educator.

“Lee possesses outstanding character and a passion for what he does,” said David Chenelle, Chef’s de Cuisine President. “The work he does with his students and for the Chefs de Cuisine made him a natural choice for Chef Educator of the Year.”

Chef Blackmore has been a member of the American Culinary Federation, since 1994 and currently serves on the board of the local chapter.
