For the Week of Commencement

BALLOONS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT COMMENCEMENT!

The City of San Diego has a strict, no tolerance policy on balloons in Balboa Park. Guests with balloons will be turned away. Leave balloons at home or in your vehicle!

Parking and Arrival Time

Parking at Balboa Park can be challenging. We recommend arriving at the Organ Pavilion no later than 3:30PM on the day of Commencement to allow time to park and get settled. Ample parking is available in the Inspiration Point parking lot, located across Park Blvd via Presidents’ Way.

Weather

Check the weather forecast the morning of Commencement and be prepared for all possibilities. In the event of extreme weather, call (619) 388-1870 or visit sdcce.edu for any possible change in location.

Guests and Children

If you are bringing children to Commencement, you must have another adult present to supervise them. Childcare is not available, and children may not accompany you in the graduate seating area.

Class Photos

Class photos will be taken by campus beginning at 4:00PM sharp at a designated location within the Organ Pavilion. Photos from Commencement will be available at flickr.com/photos/sdce a few weeks after the event and are available for download. Friends and family are welcome to take photos as well throughout the ceremony.

We look forward to celebrating you and your accomplishments at this year’s Commencement ceremony! Questions may be directed to the SDCCE Office of Student Affairs: (619) 388-1870 or
