Computers and information technology classes help the San Diego community acquire and maintain digital literacy skills. A variety of courses are offered from beginning through advanced levels empowering adult learners to use technology to meet business, personal, and professional goals. Whether you are new to computers or an experienced professional, we have free classes and certificate programs to meet your needs. Our IT programs allow you to learn in hands-on labs. Instructors have many years of experience in the industry and know the skills you need to enter the workforce as a trained employee. Classes require orientation prior to enrollment; however, many are open-entry/open-exit, short-term classes for the busy adult, with many meeting from only one to four sessions. Many students find it helpful to meet with a counselor prior to enrollment to understand your options.
San Diego College of Continuing Education is offering virtual services and limited in-person services to support students. For in-person services, you will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative covid-19 test that was taken within 7 days of the date of service. When you visit a campus in-person, you must wear a mask regardless of your vaccination status. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.
Classes are offered in a variety of formats. The types of classes are on-campus, off-campus, online with set meeting times, online with no set meeting times, Hyflex – online with optional in-person meetings, and Hybrid – partially online with required in-person meetings.
