Awareness course provides a basic knowledge to what Cardiac Arrest is and what it isn't. It covers an understanding to other life-threatening medical emergencies. The course is hands-only CPR on mannequins and provides and introduction to Automated External Defibrillator (AED) device. Training led by Maureen O'Connor and Julia Goebel, from San Diego Project Heartbeat Training Center. San Diego Project Heartbeat is a countywide program for both public and private venues throughout the region. It is the City of San Diego’s Public Access Defibrillation/CPR Program managed by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
