Provides students with the knowledge and skills required to manage and secure network infrastructures. Includes practical and analytical skills needed to design; operate and troubleshoot, and secure network software and hardware. Instruction includes fundamental networking theories including addressing; physical infrastructure; network architecture; security threats, and mitigation techniques.

Topics include Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), network topologies, security configuration parameters, security compliance, and cryptography.

Students who successfully complete the program can use the skills learned in a variety of industries and jobs including information security analyst, network and computer systems administrator, computer support specialist and computer operator. Also serves as a foundation for additional training in information technology.
