Partnering with Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of the learning process can feel daunting; where do westart and how do we know where to go from here? AI is here to stay, so let’s begin to build the framework inwhich it participates in our learning spaces as we direct it to do so. Relying on the elements of digitalcitizenship, we will create guidance to teach students the ins and outs of being an informed AI user andbuild a framework where you, the instructor, can begin to control the application/outcome of AI’s use inyour learning environment.
Presenter Bio:Crystala Button (she/her) is a former secondary English/ESL teacher and PK-12 Instructional Coach. She nowworks at Diablo Valley College (DVC) as an Instructional Designer and Computer Information ScienceInstructor. Her focus on online accessibility and equitable course design allows her to support instructorsas they create innovative and inclusive learning spaces in all modalities. She finds teaching to be anawesome adventure, helping her put her work’s focus into practice and reminding her that there is alwayssomething to learn, even if you are the teacher!
