Dear SDCCE Community,
I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend to unwind given the series of events which took place. As the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "If you can't fly, then run; if you can't run, then walk; if you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward."
Thank you all for joining us for the 43rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade! It was truly heartwarming to celebrate Dr. King’s incredible legacy alongside you and to represent SDCCE in such a meaningful way. Seeing so many of our faculty, staff, and students come together for this special event was nothing short of inspiring. Your passion and support remind us of the strength and unity within our SDCCE community. Thank you for all that you do for our college! Your dedication to our students and your commitment to making a difference in their lives does not go unnoticed. Together, we are creating an environment where everyone can thrive, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be on this journey with you.
Let’s continue honoring Dr. King’s vision as we work to create equity and opportunity for all.

Please watch the highlighted video of our students featured on NBC 7 over the weekend.

The Research Corner
This week, we invite you to check the Opportunities for Adult Education to Close Entry-Level Job Gaps from the San Diego and Imperial Centers of Excellence. The aim of the report is to identify opportunities for the San Diego Adult Education programs by assessing the current Adult Education program landscape, highlighting opportunities for entry level jobs with high demand and high wages, and exploring entry level positions that could use more training. The report may be found on the following link: Opportunities for Adult Education to Close Entry-Level Job Gaps. Take a minute to review this resource and email jsalcedo001@sdccd.edu if you have any questions.
