Accreditation Update

By Barbara Pongsrikul, Accreditation Steering Committee Co-Chair

The Self-Study final draft is in the final writing process and will then be formatted to meet the deadlines based on SDCE’s Accreditation timeline, which is partially shown below and will be posted in it's entirety on the SDCE Accreditation website. The final draft of the Self-Study will be vetted among all Shared Governance groups during the month of September.

The Self-Study evidence is being cataloged and will be posted on the Accreditation website after the Self-Study is a final draft and before it will go to the SDCCD Chancellor and SDCCD Board of Trustees for final approval.

The next Steering Committee meeting is September 15, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at ECC in Room 186. Everyone is welcome to attend each month to get updates on the SCDE Accreditation Self-Study Process. Dr. Kate Alder our new Vice President of Instruction is SDCE's new Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO), and Dr. Alder will be at this meeting discussing our next steps preparing for the WASC visit in March 2017.
