Annual Día de Los Muertos Celebration

Wednesday, November 1, 2023 - 11:30am to 12:30pm

Join us on for a special Día de Los Muertos presentation. Starting on October 30, we invite students, faculty, and community members to bring copies (not originals) of photos of a loved one, a pet, or a community leader who is no longer with us, to remember and honor.

The altar will remain in the lobby until November 6, 2023.

The event is facilitated by artist and educator, Ana Marea Herrera. Ana was born in Tijuana, B.C., Mexico. Her art fueled by a fascination with the expression of dreams, legends, and spirituality, has been displayed many times in galleries near San Diego, CA. She is primarily known for her work in “border towns”.

Special individual Pan de Muertos, provided by Pan del Barrio, will be shared with participants.
