SDCCE Celebrates Pride Month - Raising the Progressive Pride Flag

Thursday, June 1, 2023 - 9:30am

At the ECC, Mid-City, Cesar Chavez, West City, and North City campuses

San Diego College of Continuing Education fosters an environment of diversity and inclusion, which promotes LGBTQIA+ awareness for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, and asexual communities on our campus. We champion, equity, support, and mutual respect throughout our campuses.

In April, the SDCCD Board of Trustees voted to declare June 2023, and every June thereafter, to be a districtwide celebration of LGBTQIA+ Pride. This includes raising the Intersex Inclusive Progressive Pride Flag at City College, Mesa College, Miramar College, College of Continuing Education, and all district locations. June 28 is the 54th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, which was a catalyst for the modern LGBTQIA+ civil and social liberation movement. SDCCD stands in solidarity with each of its students, employees, and community members in our commitment to access, safety, dignity, acceptance, and inclusion.
