In service of the the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Anti-Racism, & Accessibility (DEIAA) Committee’s goals to build inclusive environments and creating opportunities for people to engage, understand, and respect others’ perspectives and worldviews, the Diversity Book Club promotes professional learning through reading literature and discussion of topics in diversity, equity, and social justice. 

The Spring 2025 title is “There There” by Pulitzer Prize finalist Tommy Orange, a leading voice in contemporary Native American literature. The first 30 participants to register will receive a free copy of the book. The book is also available for free as an e-book through the San Diego Public Library.

Participants who attend all both meetings (1.5 hours each) will receive a total of 5 hours of flex credit. Participants who attend one meeting will receive flex credit for the amount of hours attended.
