Accreditation Update

As you may know, SDCE is accredited by the WASC Schools Commission. As an adult education facility we are reaccredited every six years. We are currently working on the 2017 Self-Study Report and will be receiving a WASC visiting team during spring 2017. The Accreditation Steering Committee has formed and if you are interested in joining the committee or serving on one of the work groups (or focus groups) please contact Corinne Layton (clayton@sdccd.edu) or Dr. Barbara Pongsrikul (bpongsri@sdccd.edu). During spring 2016 we will engage in classroom observations as part of writing the Self-Study Report. If you are interested in observing your colleagues in the classroom setting be certain to respond to the solicitation for observers, which will be distributed this spring. Please make every effort to become involved with the Self-Study Report. Accreditation status is an essential component of SDCE and assures the public we are a quality institution of learning.
