AEBG Annual Summit

On November 1-2 along with 71 Adult Education Consortia, Vice President of Instruction, Kate Alder, and Adult Education Block Grant Representative, Rachel Rose were in Sacramento attending the 2016 AEBG Annual Summit which focused on the progress and changes that are impacting adult education. Some breakout sessions included: Waltzing with WIOA: Rethinking & Redesigning Entry/Re-entry for a Stronger California Workforce(Waltzing with WIOA Handout), An Innovation Partnership- WIOA World, and Digital Badges to Improve Student Success.

Based on feedback from the AEBG Summit, the State AEBG Office will be providing an additional two months of time to submit the Data and Accountability budget, work plan, and to upload your online budget into the AEBG financial reporting system. The new deadline will be February 20, 2017.

The Year 2 AEBG plan will begin to move through the other shared governance committees after being recommended by the SDCE AEBG Committee at their November 1 meeting.
