AEBG Update

The San Diego Adult Education Regional Consortium was awarded $3,652,360 through the AB104 block grant to implement strategies outlined in the Consortium’s AB86 final plan submitted to the state last March. SDCE received $2,752,360 (approx. 75%) and SDUSD received $900,000 (approx. 25%). This first year allocation can be used over the three years of the grant, ending June 2018. The Department of Finance is proposing a second and third year of budgeting for AEBG, however these funding allocations are uncertain.

The state has requested an annual plan and three-year revision, which are being drafted in accordance to the direction outlined by the collaborative efforts of faculty, administrators, and community members within the AB86 final plan.
