Area D Fall 2016 Meeting SDCE Cesar Chavez Campus
On Saturday, October 15, 2016, the San Diego Continuing Education Academic Senate hosted the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges Area D fall 2016 Meeting at the SDCE, Cesar Chavez Campus.
Special thanks to our SDCE President Carlos Turner-Cortez for providing a Continental breakfast and a delightful lunch and to the SDCE Academic Senate hosting team: Chaired by Caron Lieber, with support from Ann Marie Holzknecht, Antoinette Griffin, Beth Hayes, and Donna Namdar.
Craig Rutan, Area D Representative chaired the meeting. Also there from the statewide Academic Senate (ASCCC) were: Julie Bruno, President; David Morse, Immediate Past President, and Julie Adams, Executive Director.
The meeting was attended by Academic Senate presidents and delegates from throughout the region as well as the presidents of the three SDCCD credit colleges: Justin Akers, City; Marie Mc Mahon, Miramar; and Rob Fremland, Mesa. The Area D Meeting was a great pre-session to the fall Plenary, Nov 3-5 in Costa Mesa, CA.
