What’s new with our citizenship program for this spring semester? We have both embraced technology and spread our wings out into the community!

Instructor Carol Kelsall has created our first hybrid (partially online) citizenship class. This class combines the district’s Blackboard system of instruction that tracks students’ on-line learning … yes, even at 2AM, with face-to-face sessions to practice communication skills needed for the naturalization interview. Invite your tech-savvy students to join the class during the next session that begins on April 13th at CE Mesa from 6-8 pm room 204. Students must attend class on April 13th to enroll.

This month we kick off our collaboration with USS Midway that will be providing volunteers for our program. As you can see from the promotional poster, Uncle Sam is hoping for a few good men and women to answer the call and become CE volunteers to help in our citizenship and ESL classes.
