The SDCE Foundation recently received a grant from Feeding San Diego to purchase a refrigeration unit for the SDCEats! Food Pantry at the ECC campus. This generous gift will greatly increase our ability to accept, store, and distribute fresh and perishable food items to our students facing food insecurity. Launched in May 2018, the SDCEats! Food Pantry is a free food pantry with perishable and non-perishable food items to help students struggling with hunger to remain stable and focused on their studies. Students can shop for groceries for themselves and their families, or stop by to grab a quick snack between classes. Your tax-deductible donation of food or funds will help keep our pantry shelves stocked and provide valuable community resources at no cost to our students.
