San Diego Gateway to College and Career

Maureen Rubalcaba, Dean of Student Equity, and Flora Barron, Program Manager for San Diego Gateway to College and Career, presented at California Workforce Association’s WORKCON 2018 “Unlocking the Power of Partnerships.” Unique partnerships between San Diego Continuing Education and San Diego Workforce Partnership, Second Chance, the Rescue Mission,  Feeding San Diego, and CalWORKs allow the institution to provide educational and career opportunities combined with an array of high-quality support services that enable students to complete their educational goals, find meaningful employment, and successfully transition into the workforce.

Dean Rubalcaba and Ms. Barron offered valuable insights into ways that these powerful partnerships can influence student outcomes, and suggested best practices for forging new partnerships.
