It was extremely well attended by students, Faculty and Counsellors including our North City Dean Michele Gray and
Kristi Rodstrum from Calworks.
Students wore nametags and introduced themselves to each other and to faculty and discussed a variety of career and job-related ideas.
They used an icebreaker list for these discussions and submitted their email information so that they can continue to be involved in the events to follow.
The GOAL of this event was for students to :
*Meet students and exchange ideas and help each other learn how to network ( securing jobs in the future) and find out about each other's programs and studies
*Meet instructors / counselors / faculty in less formal setting to discuss networking / studies etc.
*Come up with ideas for outreach from the community to have guest speakers/career office/ other interests represented
*Create a friendly community atmosphere on campus through these interactions
