Passport to Success had its 5th workshop. The subject was teaching and learning. Desiree Payne has come back as our Curriculum Analyst and gave a wonderful presentation on Faculty and the role they play in curriculum development. Laurie Cozzolino, SDCE Faculty Flex Coordinator, did an interactive small group discussion on how we learn and what professional development training individuals have used to become better instructors. Leslie Quinones, Dean DSPS and Student Affairs, helped the participants understand the role of DSPS councilors and what rules and regulations must accompany a 3100. She also talked about providing accommodations and how to request services from the DSPS department. We are half way through our Passport to Success training and looking forward to next month’s workshop on Technology on February 2nd at West City Campus.
