SDCE Hosts CATESOL

CATESOL is state organization for ESL professionals. Recently, the San Diego Chapter organized “In a World of Words:  Reading and Vocabulary Skills for the 21st Century” with the goal of providing accessible professional development for any ESL professionals in San Diego. Nearly 200 people attended from schools and programs in San Diego County. SDCE hosted the event at ECC (event photos).

Key note speaker Deborah Gordon on “Multiword Vocabulary: What, Why and How” and a variety of interesting workshops (several presented by SDCE faculty). In addition to presenters, many faculty, staff and administrators at SDCE also planned and facilitated at the event including:
