Good afternoon, SDCCE Community:
It is with great excitement that I am pleased to announce Dr. Minou Spradley for the San Diego College of Continuing Education position of Interim Vice President, Instructional Services.
Dr. Spradley comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience as a former VPI. She is retired from the Southwestern Community College District where she was the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Academic Affairs for the past 4 years. Additionally, she served as the Accreditation Liaison Officer, as well as a member of the district negotiation team with the faculty union.
She also has over twenty-three years of experience at San Diego City College, including thirteen years as a classroom faculty member teaching Biological Sciences, developing curriculum, and performing other related duties. She served a total of ten years as an instructional dean for the School of Arts and Humanities, Languages, and Communication and for the School of Engineering Technologies, Mathematics, Sciences, and Nursing where she assisted faculty with the curriculum development and approval process, schedule development, facilities and technology planning, problem resolution, faculty and staff hiring, and evaluations. Dr. Spradley also served as the Acting Vice President of Instruction at City College, where she worked collaboratively with instructional deans, department chairs, outreach, and the public information office to schedule classes and market programs to both the campus and the community at large.
Dr. Spradley has the leadership skills, educational background, faculty experience, and administrative accomplishments needed for SDCCE as the Interim Vice President of Instructional Services.
Dr. Spradley earned her Doctorate in Biological Science from the University of California, Irvine, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science from Goucher College.
I believe that her background and experience make her the right person, at the right time, for this position at San Diego College of Continuing Education.
Please join me in welcoming, Dr. Minou Spradley at our upcoming Spring 2023 Institution Day!
Best,
