The program is virtual with an in-person celebration at completion. Additional time to read and review materials, meet with cohort participants and equity partner, and discussions are part of the program. The Spring 2024 program is full and scheduled from March 8th through May 3rd. We will be holding a completion celebration on June 13th! President's Updates

The Educational Cultural Complex hosted the San Diego County Office of Education Careers in Public Service Conference on March 6th, a day of in-person student activities featuring the many rewarding careers in public service. I delivered welcome remarks and met many high school students eager to serve our community and who took an interest in the free career training programs at our college.

I attended and provided remarks at the Ebony Pearls Foundation Youth Leadership Academy Parent Appreciation Day at the Educational Cultural Complex on March 10th. The Ebony Pearls Foundation supports and promotes appreciation of the arts and culture that reflect the great diversity of San Diego - which is very near and dear to my heart and our college!

The Research Corner

This week we invite you to check the study A Strong Start for College and Career, developed by The Center for Community College Leadership and Research at the University of California, Davis, the university’s California Education Lab, and Policy Analysis for California Education. This report looks at dual enrollment of High School students in Colleges across California. It breaks down the number of students from 9th grade up to 12th grade who are dual enrolled and it also breaks down the data by student demographics. Take a minute to review this resource and email if you have any questions.

President's Office Hours

President's Office Hours are back! Individual zoom meetings will be 20 minutes and are available on a first come first serve basis. If you would like to schedule a virtual appointment with me, please email for detailed information.
