Dear SDCCE Community,

I am thrilled to share some exciting news— ten Student Services Assistants, four Administrative Assistants III and one Administrative Assistant I, have all been successfully reclassified to Senior Student Services Assistants.

This is a significant milestone for our college. This reclassification is a well-deserved step forward in our college reorganization to better serve our students and strengthen the foundation of our institution. It reflects our commitment to ensuring that student services staff are empowered with the training, access, and recognition they deserve to effectively support students across all seven of our campuses.

I want to extend my sincere appreciation to our incredible classified professionals. Your dedication, professionalism, and daily efforts on behalf of our students do not go unnoticed. This achievement is a testament to the value and impact of your work.

I’d also like to thank our College Operations Supervisors, Executive President’s Cabinet, Chancellor Smith and Vice Chancellor Burns for their partnership and support throughout this reclassification process.

Together, we are building a stronger SDCCE—one that lifts up our employees and puts students first.
