Dear SDCCE Community,

I am proud to announce renovations are underway for the campus bookstore at SDCCE’s Educational Cultural Complex (ECC). This opportunity marks a fresh start filled with possibilities. We will be creating a student lounge!

This week the plan to renovate our existing bookstore to develop a student lounge went through our Executive Governance Council (EGC). This fall, we will be renovating the bookstore to offer students and employees healthy food and beverage choices and include a space for a student lounge. Additionally, solar tables with charging stations are being installed outside in the enclosed outdoor space of ECC’s foyer to increase student access to technology.

The goal is to ensure that each campus will have a student lounge on campus where our students and employees can purchase healthy affordable food.
