Dear SDCCE Community,

I am pleased to announce that Anabel Pulido has accepted the position of SDCCE's Information Officer. Her appointment will begin Monday, October 31, 2022.

Pulido has been employed by the San Diego Community College District since 2007 where she was first hired to work at San Diego Mesa College as a Graphic Artist/Photographer in the Office of Communications. In 2015, she was promoted to Mesa College’s Digital Communications Specialist.

As a first-generation college student herself, Pulido understands the importance of reaching out to diverse students in ways that are inclusive, validating, and engaging to create a positive campus culture.

Pulido has extensive experience addressing the dynamic student, community member, and employee communication and marketing needs and trends. Starting a career in the communications industry more than 15 years ago, she has consistently developed her expertise in higher education marketing. Additionally, Pulido has experience in writing, designing, and launching successful print and digital marketing campaigns along with using analytics and gathering important data points to produce impactful infographics and marketing reports.

As SDCCE’s Information Officer, Pulido will oversee the planning, development and implementiation of SDCCE's marketing and branding initiatives. Pulido will directly support my vision as the president, our new strategic plan, act as a liaison between myself and community leaders, media, students, campus leadership, faculty, and classified professionals.

Pulido earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Arts from California State University of Long Beach, and an Associate of Arts degree in Studio Art from Southwestern College.

I am personally honored to have Ms. Pulido join SDCCE. She will be a valuable member of the Executive President's Cabinet! Please join me in extending a warm welcome and congratulations to Ms. Anabel Pulido - the future is bright at SDCCE!
