Dear SDCCE Community,

I am pleased to report that Mrs. Desiree “DeeDee” Redulla has accepted the position of Executive Assistant to the President, effective Monday, October 17, 2022.

With 35 years of administrative experience and 15 years assisting executive leadership in both the US and countries abroad, Redulla is the right person at the right time for SDCCE - one of California's largest and most diverse noncredit institutions. Her history working with the San Diego Community College District traces back to 1984. Additionally, SDCCD is near and dear to her heart as her own mother worked for and is retired from SDCCD as well as other close family members.

As Executive Assistant to the President, Redulla oversees and coordinates the day-to-day office operations of the President's Office and serves as a liaison between the assigned office and all levels of student governing body, academic and classified professionals, Chancellor's Office and the public. Additionally, Redulla prepares correspondences and reports on behalf of the college's strategic plan and my vision as the president.

Prior to Redulla’s appointment as Executive Assistant to the President, she previously served as Acting Executive Assistant to the President at SDCCE, Administrative Assistant V to the Vice President of Student Services at SDCCE since 2017, Senior Clerical Assistant in the Disability Support Programs and Services at San Diego Mesa College, Administrative Assistant III for the the Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters, and as Senior Tutor and Test Proctor at San Diego Mesa College.

I am eager to have her join us in her permanent role. I look forward to collaborating closely with Redulla to move the mission and vision of SDCCE forward.
