President's Updates

President King and Hester Classified Senate and president's office Leadership team in costumes President King and Dia de los muertos participants President King and Dia de los muertos participants

It was wonderful to honor our Classified Senate Executive Leadership Team with a special lunch. Our classified professionals play a critical role in the success of our students. Thank you to all of our classified professionals for passionately supporting our students, and thank you for the beautiful bouquet of purple roses!

Festivities were in full swing! Myself and the Executive President Cabinet, (the Super Sheroes), had a wonderful time enjoying the spooky celebrations. It was fantastic to see all of our campuses and students participating, and each campus received a special trick-or-treat basket!

I enjoyed attending our Dia de los Muertos event hosted by our Cultural Events Taskforce at ECC. There was a beautiful altar creation filled with photos from the college community.

The Research Corner

This week, we invite you to check the SDCCE Student Equity Dashboard updated with data from the last 5 years. The dashboard breaks down our student's data by four different metrics: retention, retention alternative calculation, success, and success alternative calculation. The dashboard also breaks down the data by several demographics and highlights which groups have been disproportionately impacted within the specific metric. Please take a minute to review this resource and email if you have any questions.

President's Office Hours

President's Office Hours are back! Individual zoom meetings will be 20 minutes and are available on a first come first serve basis. If you would like to schedule a virtual appointment with me, please email for detailed information.
