SDCCE hosted the third Noncredit to Credit Alignment Lab (NCAL) Symposium on November 3 at San Diego Mesa College. We are creating pathways for our noncredit courses and certificates to credit programs, associate degrees, and baccalaureate degrees within the SDCCD! Their expertise and knowledge serves as an asset to best advance the mission and vision of the college.

IEPI PRT Initiative Announcement

Dean Jessica Luedtke and the PRIE team is excited to announce that SDCCE successfully applied for and will be granted CCC Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative (IEPI) support and resources. The college will receive one-time funding to advance SDCCE’s institutional effectiveness efforts and will be able to draw on the exceptional peer expertise and innovation from within the system through a visiting Partnership Resource Team (PRT) in spring 2024.

The goals for the IEPI PRT initiative at SDCCE align with college growth areas that were discovered during the self-study process and reside in the Accreditation Action Plan and the Institutional Strategic Plan:

  • Institutional Effectiveness: Assess institutional, research, and professional development needs (e.g., needed programming, staffing, facility infrastructure, funding).
  • Professional Development: Create an institutional professional development strategic plan and re-define and build program offerings and infrastructure (e.g., onboarding, data coaching, DEIAA model, professional development series/programming, online web platform for professional development).
  • Communications: Further SDCCE’s Communication Plan by advancing planning for an intranet for employee use and the distribution of information, including developing a business objects system, with the goal of maintaining accurate and informative information for employees.
