Make an impact

Dear Treasured Community and Friends,

I am pleased to share, together we have raised $1,200 of our $5,000 goal! That is a huge win for our students. Thank you for all who have already donated and shared our campaign. You can still make a difference, donations are being accepted now through Saturday, December 31, 2022.

100% of your donation directly supports San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE) student scholarships, is tax-deductible, and will be presented during SDCCE’s 15th annual “Stars on the Rise'' Scholarship and Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Educational Cultural Complex.

Many students who come to SDCCE are walking onto a college campus for the first time as an adult learner or are returning to the classroom for a career change or a second chance. The gift of higher education and workforce training is invaluable.

Through the generosity of the people who know our students best, their instructors, counselors, classified staff, and so many others who put our students right in the center, they now have greater access to pursue their next steps and to build better futures for themselves and their families.

After dropping out during her senior year at a traditional high school, Madeline Loewe-Pollock achieved her diploma at SDCCE’s North City Campus. “I felt like I didn’t have a chance,” she said. “SDCCE showed me that I am a person who can graduate high school and go to college.” At SDCCE, Madeline was honored as the Matthew LaCaze Memorial Scholarship recipient. After graduating from SDCCE, she transitioned to San Diego Mesa College to become a nurse. Hear more of Madeline’s story on video.

With a goal to raise $5,000 we want to reach more students like Madeline, and we cannot do it without your support! Thank you for considering contributing to SDCCE’s mission — to provide accessible, equitable, and innovative quality education and career training to every adult student in San Diego.

Donate to SDCCE's Employee Giving Scholarship, Counseling Faculty Scholarship, or Leave a Legacy and Create your Own Scholarship:

  • Start your own scholarship ($250.00 minimum)

Sincerest thanks,

Dr. King
