Career and College Services for Employers

Attention Employers: If You're Hiring, We're Helping

San Diego College of Continuing Education’s seven career centers are the central location for career and employment services. We work with businesses and organizations of all sizes--and from all sectors--to deliver the very best employment opportunities for students. Partnerships formed with employers allows SDCCE to connect the abundant and diverse talents of student and alumni communities to local employment needs. Industry collaboration allows a full range of services, resources and programs to be made available to students.

Employer Spotlight

Spotlight events provide benefits for SDCCE students while increasing recognition and affinity for our partner organizations. Students from all seven campuses are invited to attend and hear about your organization and what they can do to be a part of it.

Employer Mixers

Employer mixes provide benefit to SDCCE students by bringing a host of employers in the same industry pathway to provide in-depth conversations about their companies, hiring practices and what a student needs to do to become employed.

Employer On-Campus Interviews

On-campus interviews benefits SDCCE students by brining the employer to them. In this process, students are able to meet directly with employers and participate in on the spot interviews.

Employer Classroom Presentations

Classroom presentations bring value to SDCCE students and faculty as employers can discuss their companies trends, educational requirements, company culture, hiring process benefits, compensation and career pathways.

Job Fairs

SDCE offers two types of job fairs for employer engagement. One is industry specific job fairs which provide students with the opportunity to learn about job openings, complete applications and participate in on the spot interviews in their chosen pathway. Job career fairs are those in which we invite employers from all of the career pathways as well as employers who can provide necessity jobs for students. In these job fairs student have an opportunity to meet with hiring personnel, learn about job openings and submit resumes or applications for interested positions.

Sponsor an Internship

Internships provide a cost-effective way to prepare tomorrow’s workforce, build skills specific to your organization, provide students with hands-on experience in their chosen career pathway and open opportunities for student employment. If you are interested in sponsoring student internships in your organization, please contact us.

Outreach & Information Sessions

Employers seeking interns, part-time hires, or full-time career professionals may schedule outreach dates. We will sponsor any employer or organization who wants to promote internships, part-time positions or career opportunities. Staffing agencies are also welcome. Employers must provide a contact name, website, phone number, e-mail address, and business location that students may be referred to for follow up. Outreach tables are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please contact us to schedule.
