INDEPENDENT STUDY

This course is designed as an alternative approach to classroom instruction using a variety of instructional materials specifically selected for mastery of course objectives. Students receive individualized course materials developed to meet their specific educational needs. Skills assessment is a prerequisite to the selection of appropriate instructional media or delivery systems. The goal of the instructor who is utilizing instructional technology as an alternative approach is to put learning as much as possible in the hand of the learner. (FT)
