Dear SDCCE Community,
Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day! This day serves as a reminder to respect the land we live on, recognize the rights of Indigenous communities, and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples across the globe. We especially celebrate and honor the Kumeyaay tribe, indigenous to this region of California, and acknowledge that we operate on the territory of the Kumeyaay Nation with great respect for its people and legacy.
I encourage you to use today as an opportunity to educate yourselves and others, support Indigenous artists, businesses, and movements, and learn ways to work towards a future where all cultures are valued and respected.

Please take a minute to review this resource and email jsalcedo001@sdccd.edu if you have any questions.
