Accreditation Update

Wonderful news!

SDCE submitted the SDCE Accreditation Self-Study to the SDCCD Vice Chancellor for fact checking in mid-October, and received comments from all the Vice Chancellors that SDCE did a wonderful job on the Self-Study.

On December 8, 2016 at the Board of Trustees meeting the following was written in the board report. The Board of Trustees "reviewed the 2017 Institutional Self-Evaluation Reports for City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges, and Continuing Education, with comments by Vice Chancellor of Student Services Lynn Neault and Presidents Denise Whisenhunt, Pamela Luster, Patricia Hsieh, and Carlos Cortez. The reports will be the foundations for the comprehensive accreditation evaluation visits that will take place in March 2017.Board members commended the presidents and their teams for their years of hard work leading up to these impressive documents".

If you are interested in getting involved in preparing for the site visits, please contact the lead(s) for the appropriate campus that was listed in the last Accreditation update at: https:/organization/faculty-staff/news/accreditation-update-9. We'd also like to extend an invitation to our next Accreditation Steering Committee Meeting which takes place on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at ECC in Room 186. We invite faculty, staff and students to get involved as we prepare to showcase SDCE for our WASC Accreditation visit March 13-16, 2017. We know that this is a SDCE team effort, and we welcome everyone&'s input in planning for the site visit.
