Dear SDCCE Community,

Graduate on Stage at CommencementWow SDCCE family, I am still elated from last Friday's festivities! It was such an honor to celebrate our amazing students and their families during the San Diego College of Continuing Education's 15th annual Stars on the Rise scholarship and awards event. A record-breaking 227 students were recognized! The ECC theatre was filled with excitement and joy. Please direct your students to our Stars on the Rise digital photo gallery here, so they may share these memorable moments.

A special thank you to our VPSS, Dr. Shakerra Carter, Dean of Student Affairs, Michelle Madrid Novak, the best Emcee in town, Neill Kovrig and the Student Services Division and SDCCE Foundation for all of their support for such a lovely event!

The celebration continues with Black Student Success Week beginning today, April 24 through April 28 hosted alongside California Community Colleges and the SDCCD. SDCCE's Back Student Success Program did a wonderful job hosting "The Black Student Experience at the San Diego College of Continuing Education and Virtual Watch Party" this morning on Zoom. The Research Corner

SDCCE Student Enrollment JourneyThis week, we invite you to check out the SDCCE Student Enrollment Journey Report. While this report was released in 2020, its insights on students’ actions, experiences, thoughts, and feelings throughout their enrollment process continue to be relevant in supporting the improvement of our intake processes. This report considers an analytic framework that breaks the student enrollment journey into three distinct stages: Awareness, Discovery, and Action. Take a minute to review this resource and email if you have any questions.

We recently launched the 2023 SDCCE Employee Cultural Climate Survey. This survey includes questions about your work and overall experiences as a CE employee. If you have not done it, please take a couple of minutes to complete this survey (all responses will be anonymous). The results from this project will be used to understand and improve the cultural and campus climate at the institution. Participants will have an opportunity to win one of four $25 VISA gift cards.
