I had the pleasure to join Acting Chancellor Smith as a Commissioner for the USC Equity and Race Commission 3-day convening hosted by the Colleges Future Foundation at the USC Race and Equity Center. I am fully inspired to bring back the wealth of knowledge and synergy to SDCCE.

The Research Corner

This week, we invite you to check out a resource developed by the California Community College Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) in partnership with the Research and Planning Group, the Fall 2022 Statewide College Attendance Survey Report. This report provides information about factors influencing students’ decisions to attend school. “Key findings from this statewide survey highlight students’ increasing need to balance and navigate complex lives, including the need to work and care for dependents” (p.3). Take a minute to review this resource and email if you have any questions.
